As guests arrived, they were entertained by the beautiful sounds emanating from the grand concert Venus harp played by Mrs. Debbie Rexing, 3rd grade teacher. The Wigglin’ Wolves, a step group created by Mrs. Thurmond and Mrs. Henderson, started the evening with a rousing and upbeat routine. And finally, Mr. Wiegand’s Choir and Instrument Ensemble Group performed original pieces complimented by a slideshow created by Mrs. Bristol, technology specialist.

Honoring Mrs. Ward

Step performance

To honor Mrs. Ward’s Irish heritage, colorful artwork and wonderful writing pieces depicting the various aspect of the Irish culture graced the hallways and great rooms of our school.

In the 40’s Great Room, a giant Viking Ship dominated one wall to celebrate the Celtic Viking Experience. The 50’s Great Room displayed rich artwork and creative writing by students depicting characters from Irish Legends and Folklore. The 60’s Great Room was transformed into an Irish Castle, complete with a drawbridge and a full wall of coat of arms. Finally, the 70’s Great Room turned into a cozy den, lined up with Irish books and an inviting fireplace to celebrate the legacy of Irish Writers.
