Administration
Principal
Mrs. Heather Fonte
Dear Kitty Ward Families,
Welcome to Kitty Ward ES, home of the wolves! My name is Heather Fonte, and I serve as the proud principal of this wonderful school. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such a rich tradition of education and family involvement. As a product of the Clark County School District and a proud member of this northwest community for the past fourteen years, I am humbled and honored to lead Kitty Ward ES. I have been dedicated to children and their education for over twenty years. During my time with CCSD, I have served as a classroom teacher in 1st, 2nd, and 4th grade, an instructional coach to support teacher development, and as an administrator at multiple school-sites.
Everyone should have a personal “why” for what they do. As an educator, my “why” is to work tirelessly to ensure every child is encouraged, supported, and provided every opportunity to develop meaningful goals and strengthen their individual character and academic development. From an early age, students can develop empathy, hope, and perseverance. They can learn how to become problem solvers, goal setters, and grow their individual creativity. This is what we will diligently work toward each and every day at Kitty Ward! As a student who struggled to read and write throughout elementary school, I grew up disliking school and believing I was not good enough. My personal “why” is to ensure all students are provided a safe and positive environment with dedicated staff members who support and advocate for every child on our campus.
I enjoy working alongside all of you as a team to ensure students at Kitty Ward ES reach their full potential. Please let me know what I can do to support your child this school year.
Sincerely,
Heather Fonte
